On March 8, the world celebrates International Women’s Day. It is an occasion for supporting activism and promoting gender equality both globally, and on the local level. We never hesitate to think about sending flowers to women for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and major holidays. International Women's Day will be observed across the globe on March 8th, with organizers proclaiming the event as a time set aside to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The initiative was originally established over 100 years ago as a suffragette movement in Soviet bloc nations, although today it takes on different nuances in different countries, based on the wide disparity of women's rights around the world. While some countries still fight for basic human rights, the West largely uses this opportunity to recognize the achievements and accomplishments of women. As a matter of fact, it is easy to look around our own communities in Snohomish County and see women from all walks of life who are dedicated to making the world a better place.
On March 8th, why not send a note and a floral arrangement from Stadium Flowers to let these amazing women know they have your support? Flowers can be used to express emotions and sentiments - here are just a few that we think would be perfect for International Women's Day: Read More about Celebrate International Women’s Day with Flowers »
