Pantone’s Vivid Color Of The Year In Flowers

Pantone announced its 2018 Color of the Year, and the choice, Ultra Violet, is stunning. Every year, the color company makes a selection that attempts to reflect the spirit of the times and to say something about what is to come. Ultra Violet, a blue-forward purple, is an intriguing pick, in that it suggests mysticism, majesty and a meditative mood. We here at Stadium Flowers are excited to work this distinctive hue into our floral designs.

In fact, we’ve been working with purple and blue shades for a long time, building arrangements that express a depth of feeling that less mysterious colors simply can’t. Our Bold Mix Basket Design is a good example of how much character purples and blues can bring to a display of flowers.Basket design featuring roses and hydrangea in a mix of purple, green, and blue hues. Approximate size for the standard design is 20

If you’re looking to try out the Ultra Violet trend, start small, with a floral design or two. Rather than paint an entire accent wall or buy up all of those throw pillows, you can simply enjoy this color palette as reflected in blooms, which will add a modern feeling to your home without the same level of commitment. Look for Ultra Violet to pop up everywhere in 2018; Pantone’s picks always have a big influence.
