Pantone announced its 2018 Color of the Year, and the choice, Ultra Violet, is stunning. Every year, the color company makes a selection that attempts to reflect the spirit of the times and to say something about what is to come. Ultra Violet, a blue-forward purple, is an intriguing pick, in that it suggests mysticism, majesty and a meditative mood. We here at Stadium Flowers are excited to work this distinctive hue into our floral designs. Read More about Pantone’s Vivid Color Of The Year In Flowers »

We know what you're thinking: "What in the world is Galentine's Day?"
Allow us here at Stadium Flowers to answer you: it's a fictional holiday devoted to celebrating the love females have for each other, and it was first proposed in a 2010 episode of NBC's Parks and Recreation. Main character Leslie Knope took all of her ladies out to lunch on February 13 and proclaimed it "Galentine's Day . . . only the best day of the year." Since then, the idea has caught on, and women across the U.S. are making plans to get together and show their love for each other the day before Valentine's Day. Here at Stadium Flowers, we think one of the best ways to show someone you care all year long is to take advantage of a little program we like to call Flowers For A Year, which is exactly what it sounds like: a delivery of fresh, seasonal blooms to the recipient of your choice for 12 months. It's literally the gift that keeps on giving. Read More about How To Deliver Flowers All Year »

A 2008 study by American Society for Horticultural Science found that hospitalized patients who had flowers or potted plants in their rooms used less pain medication and had lower blood pressure overall than their flower-less counterparts. We here at Stadium Flowers aren't surprised; the healing properties of flowers have long been celebrated, from using them medicinally to extracting their essences for therapeutic purposes.
Get well flowers are a great way to make someone feel cared for as they endure cold and flu season, and it turns out, they just might help heal them, too. Read More about Happy Flowers For Better Health »

No one would dispute the uplifting effect flowers have on us. Studies confirm that they can enhance a person's mental clarity and promote a positive outlook. They clean the air, literally breathing life into a space. In fact, we can't think of a single bad thing about flowers, except for the fact that they don't last forever. Then again, that just makes us appreciate them more.
Stadium Flowers believes that there's no better time to bring as many flowers as possible into your living space than winter. Read More about Flowers Made For Winter »

When International Floral Distributors released their annual floral design trend report, we here at Stadium Flowers took note of one style in particular. Of the four identified, we're singling out "Positively Posh" in this week's blog. Why? It's so beautiful, for one.
The real reason to look ahead to 2018's most coveted styles is to feel inspired and renewed by the idea that floral design evolves. There's always room for creativity and invention, both on the part of designers and flower customers themselves. That said, the "Positively Posh" trend wouldn't be difficult for anyone to get behind. So you're participating in Secret Santa this year. There are only two questions: Can you keep your identity a secret in the weeks leading up to the big exchange? And what on earth will you give?
At Stadium Flowers, we know that anonymous gift swaps can sometimes be tricky situations in that you may not know the particular tastes and preferences of the person you've been randomly assigned. Of course, this is partly what makes Secret Santa so fun - seeing what people give and what they get. That said, we're here to help you make a great gift choice. It's the time of year when we're exchanging gifts and gathering together, delighting in the chance to be in each other's company and to bring a smile to our loved ones' faces. In our view here at Stadium Flowers, there's no better gift to give than flowers, which instantly lift the spirit - or in the case of the holidays - set it.
We also think it's important to give back to our community. There's no greater gift to give than our time, energy and resources to deserving institutions, the ones who lift us up and endeavor to serve and protect those most vulnerable. And that's why we're donating to Providence Health & Services' Festival of Trees Gala Dinner and Live Auction, as we've done for over 20 years, since the event's inception. We at Stadium Flowers believe that "decking the halls" doesn't just mean the one from your home's foyer to the family room. No, we'd like to see all the halls decked, including the ones at your office, which could probably use a good dose of holiday cheer. Winter greens by nature are hardy, enduring, fragrant plants that do well indoors or out and lend a lot of atmosphere to a space. This makes them the perfect pick for the workplace.
